Tom Souvignier is a 2nd generation auctioneer in his hometown of Canton SD. Tom graduated from Canton High School and Dakota State College followed by the Missouri Auction School in Kansas City, MO on June 1977. Co-owned and operated Canton Livestock Sales Co. until 1995 with his father Gaylon Souvignier (SDAA Hall of Fame Member) and Souvignier Real Estate & Auction Company. Licenses includes: Real Estate Auctionneers license and Broker Associate license with HJN Team Realtors of Sioux Falls, SD. He is active in selling Real Estate (Farmland, Residential & Commercial) and Personal Property Auctions including Farm Equipment, Antiques & Household. Tom also conducts Real Estate and Personal Property market valuations. Some credentials are:

  • licensed to sell real estate in South Dakota and Iowa
  • Conducts or assists in many Real Estate and Personal Property auctions per year in Southeast SD, Northwest IA and Southwest MN. Auctioning and clerking services.
  • Actively engaged in bonded Livestock Order Buying for clients as well as speculation. Tom also maintains his own stock cow herd and feeder cattle. (4T Cattle Co.)

Having completed his formal Auction training at the World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, IA. in November of 2007, Ted now is able to assist and conduct personal property auctions of all types. He has been assisting with set-ups and clerking duties for several years. Ted won the Turner County Fair Auction Contest in the Amateur Division on his first attempt.
